Professor Yu Xiong

Professor Yu Xiong is a globally recognised innovation leader and technology strategist, with a distinguished track record across Artificial Intelligence, blockchain, immersive media, and renewable energy. As Co-President and Chief Scientist of Endless Protocol, he is pioneering the integration of AI with decentralised Web3 infrastructures, including platforms that serve over 100,000 users.

He serves as Chair of the UK Parliament's All-Party Parliamentary Groups on Metaverse & Web 3.0 and Blockchain, shaping national dialogue on future technologies. He also founded the Surrey Academy for Blockchain and Metaverse Applications, supported by multi-million-pound investments in innovation and commercialisation.

Professor Xiong has been instrumental in advancing low-carbon initiatives through his directorship of the £50 million Low Carbon Innovation Fund, and in sustainability research recognised by international platforms such as Nature Communications and COP26. He has contributed to high-impact projects supported by the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult and Satellite Applications Catapult.

His influence extends into the social and cultural spheres: he was a London 2012 Olympic Torchbearer, recipient of the May 4th Medal (China’s highest youth honour), and winner of the Global Gandhi Peace Award. He is also a trustee and advisor to several international sustainability and cultural foundations, including the Magna Carta World Peace Foundation.
