President

Dr George Wang is a long-standing figure in the UK’s business and innovation landscape, having lived in Britain for over two decades and worked for many years in London’s financial sector. His career has been defined by a strong commitment to fostering international collaboration in innovation, creativity, and emerging technologies.

As the founder and president of the Creative Innovation and Development Association (CIDA Global), Dr Wang has played a leading role in supporting and facilitating hundreds of creative and innovation-driven projects since 2019. These include initiatives in artificial intelligence, immersive media, digital platforms, sustainable technologies, and cross-border entrepreneurship.

Dr Wang is also the Chair and Founder of the Humblesbees International Investment Club, a global network promoting collaboration among innovators, investors, and creative professionals. In parallel, he co-founded and serves as Vice President of the Northern British Chinese Entrepreneurs Association (NBCEA), actively supporting start-ups and emerging talent in the UK.

He is recognised not only for his business leadership but also for his civic engagement. Notably, he led the restoration of the historic Beiyang Fleet Sailors’ Cemetery in Newcastle, and mobilised significant relief efforts during the early COVID-19 pandemic, coordinating donations of medical supplies and funds from the UK Chinese community to affected areas in China.

Through his leadership, Dr Wang continues to advance CIDA’s mission of enabling global partnerships and empowering creative, inclusive, and impactful innovation.
